meramu is an iPhone and iPad language game made by Joshua Dirga. This policy covers the app, this website, and support email.

In the app

meramu has no accounts or ads. Learning progress stays on your device. Optional usage sharing is off by default, and the full game works offline.

The app saves your selected native and learning languages, discovered cards, level progress, and practice progress on your device. Cards, levels, and practice are saved separately for each learning language. Changing your native language keeps that progress. meramu does not provide a cloud backup or sync service.

Pronunciation uses an available device voice or included audio. The app does not record speech or access your microphone. Typed practice answers stay on the device.

Optional usage sharing

If you enable Share anonymous usage during setup or in Settings, meramu sends gameplay events to a private collector hosted by Vercel. These include card taps, combination results, hints, level starts and finishes, practice correctness, language choices, session duration, and app version.

Events use random installation and session identifiers to help us understand repeat play and where players get stuck. We do not link them to your name or email. We do not collect typed answers, recordings, contacts, advertising identifiers, or precise location. We do not use this data for advertising or combine it with activity from other companies.

Vercel processes connection information, including your IP address, to deliver and protect the service. We do not copy IP addresses into gameplay events. See Vercel's privacy notice. Event data is stored privately and scheduled for deletion after 90 days.

You can turn sharing off in Settings at any time. This cancels pending uploads, removes unsent events, and deletes the local installation identifier. Already received events remain until scheduled deletion. Turning sharing on again creates a new identifier. Unsent events expire after seven days.

Delete your progress

Open Settings and choose Reset progress. Confirming clears discoveries, level progress, and practice progress in every learning language. Your selected languages stay selected.

This website

This website does not use analytics, advertising cookies, or tracking scripts. Vercel hosts the website and processes request information, such as your IP address, browser information, and requested pages, to deliver and protect it.

The playable trial keeps its selections in this browser tab. Reloading starts it over. Trial choices are not sent to a server.

Support email

If you email support, Joshua receives your email address, message, and any attachments you send. He uses them to answer your request and troubleshoot issues. Support mail is hosted by Zoho. Zoho and other email providers involved in delivery process these messages. See Zoho's privacy policy. Please only include information needed to explain the issue.
