meramu uses artwork and language data from the projects below. The downloads below preserve source data and license notices. The browser trial uses Indonesian, Chinese, and Japanese; the app includes additional languages and its full notices in Settings, under Credits.

Chinese and Japanese

The Chinese pack adapts CC-CEDICT, maintained by its contributors and editors and published by MDBG. The Japanese pack adapts JMdict by James William Breen and the Electronic Dictionary Research and Development Group, with reading segments from Doublevil and contributors' JmdictFurigana.

meramu selects entries and meanings, maps them to game concepts, and formats pronunciations and readings. These adapted packs are available under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International.

Indonesian

The Indonesian language pack uses Wordnet Bahasa through Open Multilingual Wordnet, with English sense definitions from Princeton WordNet. Its notices preserve the MIT and Princeton WordNet terms.

The additional Indonesian catalog adapts English Wiktionary entries extracted by Wiktextract and published by Kaikki. Its candidate ranks use wordfreq by Robyn Speer. This adapted catalog is available under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International.

Game data and artwork

meramu adapts the Elementia Dataset by R74n, distributed under the MIT License. The current cards, penguin mascot, and path scenery use meramu's custom Paper oddballs artwork, created with AI image generation and selected and refined for this app. Earlier artwork used Microsoft Fluent Emoji under the MIT License; its source manifest and notices are retained below.
