Delete your meramu account
You can request account deletion here without opening or reinstalling meramu. This applies to meramu accounts used on iPhone, iPad, and Android. Joshua Dirga handles these requests.
Request deletion by email
- Email privacy@meramu.app with the subject Delete my meramu account.
- Tell us the email address used for your meramu account and whether you signed in with Google, Apple, an email code, or a meramu password. If possible, send the request from that email address. Do not send your password or a sign-in code.
- We may ask for limited information to verify that the account is yours. We will reply about verification and the outcome of your request.
If you cannot access that email address, explain that in your request. You do not need to reinstall the app to contact us.
What account deletion removes
Deletion removes the account's authentication record and active cloud profile, private nickname, language settings, collected cards, and backed-up progress. Local cards and progress on your devices remain until you reset them or remove the app's data.
Supabase retains operational logs and recovery copies according to its service plan and security requirements. Deleting active account records does not immediately erase those separate copies. We keep support correspondence while needed to answer your request, handle follow-up, or meet legal and security obligations. You can ask us to delete it.
Gameplay analytics are separate
Optional adult analytics use random identifiers separate from your account. Account deletion does not identify or delete past analytics. If you still have the app, use Delete shared analytics in Privacy to prepare a request with its saved analytics IDs. You can also contact privacy@meramu.app and include any analytics IDs you have. An email address alone cannot identify these events. If the app or its saved data is gone, we may not be able to connect the request to those random IDs.
Delete in the app or reset progress
On Android, open Settings, then Account, then Manage data, and choose Delete account. On iPhone and iPad, open Settings, then Backup, and choose Delete account. To remove progress while keeping the account, choose Reset progress in Settings. When account backup is connected, this also clears backed-up progress in every language as devices reconnect. When signed out, it clears local progress only.
